In 4.30 v2.03 he spoofs it to 4.31, but the passphrase for PSN remained the same in OFW so nothing really changed, and thus anyone on his 4.30 CFW can go online normally. If your ps3 out of the box has ofw 3.55 or below and only if you have upgraded that firmware to higher version, only then you can e-flash it back to 3.55. Else it is impossible. If your ps3 out of the box is above 3.55 version, there is no way that one can downgrade to 3.55 or lower.
